The Education Innovation Dialogue is a 4 day workshop designed to provide tools that impact learning outcomes in comparison to global best practices and 21st century realities. It is designed to annually develop an education innovation map for schools, after schools, faith based learning spaces. The innovation map integrates 21st century skills to everyday learning experience, incentivize innovations as well as facilitate a research driven education culture in Nigeria. The Education Innovation Map will launch up to 100 innovation ideas annually.

It is designed as a 4 day workshop for school owners, administrators, principals and heads of school. It features several profound speakers on innovation possibilities and opportunities. There will be up to 10 sessions including participant led panels. During the workshop the Innovation Map will be officially launched and studied intently. At the end of the workshop, participants will be required to sign up to implement at least 5 innovations in the school year.

After the event, there will be a website dedicated to capture on going innovations, challenges and results. At the end of the school year, schools will be rewarded for their efforts in adopting innovations.

The Education Innovation Dialogue is based on the conviction that with our current level resources it is possible to give our children a globally competitive education.

Project Components

Participants shall converge in Dubai for a 5 day training covering up to 10 sessions on innovation challenges, possibilities and opportunities. There will be up to 10 sessions as well as panel sessions by different participants. During the workshop the Innovation Map will be officially launched and studied intently. At the end of the workshop, participants will be required to sign up to implement at least 5 innovations in the following school year and introduce at least 4 other schools to implement at least 3 innovations each .

 

On January 19th, 2015, the innovation map website will be officially launched with details of schools that have signed up to start the one year innovation journey. As part of the innovation map kit is a template of surveys that schools will be required to complete and email back to us periodically.

 

While all schools who participate in the innovations will be featured on the website, only EID participants will be eligible to receive awards during the 2015 awards ceremony. Awards include publishing deal for creative writing based innovations etc.

 

Innovations will be featured in a video series capturing results, school and student experience as well as parents feedback.

If I am registered and for some reason I won’t be attending, can I nominate someone to take my space?

Yes you can, if the nomination happens 4 weeks before the event. However, additional visa fees will be required plus additional 10% of total fees to serve as admin fees. All replacement nominations must happen 4 weeks to the event.

Can I get a formal invitation letter?

Yes, you will get a formal invitation letter after all registration documents have been submitted.

What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee covers 5 nights accommodation, breakfast and lunch, return ticket, visa fees, conference materials, tour and visits to schools and selected institutions.

Is there an early bird discount?

Yes, there is a 3% discount on all payments made by September 5th, 2014

Is there group discount?

For group bookings, there is a 2% discount.

I want to register how much does it cost?

Registration fee is $2,500 or N405,000.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, all participants get a certificate of participation.

EID is not for Nigerian educators only. It is open to African educators.
